And I Am A Material Girl
June 21, 2012
Dr. Gayle Hall is a cute chick in sassy heels and perfect makeup. She’s also a life coach, author, mentor, and professor. But she wasn’t always someone who had it all together. Skinny, scrawny, red-headed, and freckle-faced as a little girl, Gayle spent grade school as an outcast, the perfect punching bag for the playground bully.
Fear controlled much of Gayle’s life. Unsure of what she wanted or who she was, she did what so many of us did at that stage, she married young. “I wanted to be married like my mother, be taken care of, and have the June Cleaver life. That’s what I thought I was supposed to do.” Along her journey, she left not one unhappy marriage, but two. Too scared to go to college in case she should fail in that realm as well, Gayle finally worked the courage up to go to college at the age of 38. Not long ago, she completed her PhD.
Learn how she turned her life around.
As energetic as the famous bunny, Gayle explains:
- Why that pink slip or cheating husband may be cause for celebration
- How downsizing freed her up
- What that Santa Claus collection you have may say about you
- What she hid behind the war paint
- How she ended up first in line for love, instead of last
We also talked about Eric Ericson and driving off a cliff on a Harley Davidson and dating toy boys. “After two divorces, I wanted to just have the image of ‘Look who’s on my arm. I wanted a trophy boy. At the time it made me feel and look beautiful.”
