Here's what I learned TOTALLY by accident. Personal story sells.

Writing

You’re here for a reason

January 5, 2021

I have this really wise friend who also happens to be a clinical psychologist specializing in the science of change.  Sometime last year, she started sending out these short videos to her mailing list. I find myself watching them while I eat lunch because they calm me down. Julie is just one of those people I like to be around. She’s warm, kind, and has a way of ratcheting the frenetic energy of a room (or head) way the hell down. She’s sort of a horse whisperer for nutty people like me. So, a nut whisperer?

Anyway, this particular video caught my attention because in it she addresses a fear I run into with my clients ALL. THE. TIME. Namely, why would my book–or anything I have to say, come to think of it–matter?  (You want to prevent yourself from writing a book, BTW, this niggling doubt will do the trick.)

If I were to respond to this question Julie takes on, this is what I’d say. Right HERE. But really, see if you don’t see this whole book writing thing in a brand new way after hearing Julie out.
