How a Good Girl Learns to Get Untamed
September 1, 2013
As many of you know, I’m a big fan of coaching, of forming a professional relationship with someone whom you respect, someone who has already walked the path you’re about to set off on. Someone who can point out the shortcuts and the hidden pitfalls to save you a crap load of time and trouble. I’m also a big fan of finding a mentor who totally resonates with you, who speaks and behaves in a way that motivates you. Kimber Britner is the nurturing, intuitive Mama type. And this is a guest post by the very same lady.
Its a great thing to get what you want, unless what you thought you wanted wasn’t what you really wanted, because what you really wanted you couldn’t imagine or didn’t think was possible. But what if someone came along who knew exactly what you wanted without asking. They just knew. They could hear your heart beating and listen to your thoughts and what if they were sure of themselves and they didn’t have to take a poll and they loved you? –From the movie Kate and Leopold
Do you ever feel like the perpetual baby bird being pushed out of the nest to try out her new wings! Sometimes all you can do is laugh at the cosmic restructuring that shifts you from one reality into another.
If I had known my childhood nickname, ‘Limber Kimber,’ was foretelling my life journey, I might have refrained from doing cartwheels; splits and bending like a pretzel. Weren’t the thirteen moves in my childhood enough?
If I had know that I would became one with my married surname, Everett, which means ‘strong as a boar’ and would be stretched and pulled and rolled into some resemblance of strength, I might have stayed home on my wedding day.
I have never loved being rearranged, but truthfully, in the end restructuring has always surpassed what I’ve imagined. Widowhood was no piece of cake, but it led me on a journey of discovery I wouldn’t have otherwise taken. It lead me to my authentic self, to claim my voice, to somersaults of joy and to the love of my life.
Reconstruction is a glorious thing if you give yourself to the process and you learn to bend. That’s how Possibillionaires are made! That’s how a “good girl” learns to get untamed. Take it from me; I’ve had a little experience!
Do you need help reframing your circumstances? Do you need help reclaiming your authentic voice, reclaiming your passion and getting untamed?

“Someone who can point out the shortcuts and the hidden pitfalls to save you a crap load of time and trouble.” Who doesn’t want that!! I agree Kimber is that person:)
“Reconstruction is a glorious thing” Sometimes it doesn’t feel so glorious, reframing and reclaiming is a valuable skill to have.
I agree with you, Cyndi. I think Kimber is awesome. She has a very soft, healing energy that makes her ideal for folks who need that from a coach.
