Help? Who, me?

Being a pretty decent writer, you may think you should go it alone when tackling a book project.

Or that a big publishing house should supply you with all sorts of writing help as part of the deal….I mean, if they insist.

But I’d like to tell you about Maxwell Perkins, who is often considered the greatest book editor in recent history. He was responsible for turning the manuscripts of F. Scott Fitzgerald, Earnest Hemmingway, Thomas Wolfe, and others into masterpieces.

In this video, I’d like to share with you how far Maxwell went in the interest of his writers and their readers. Why you might want someone like Maxwell on your team even though no modern publishing house would support him.
