I hate asking for help. I really do. And many of my clients have felt that way too. Until they recognized that writing a book on their own was harder than they thought or that they just didn’t have the time, given their myriad responsibilities.
As a culture, Americans are prone to rugged individualism, the belief that, with enough elbow grease, we should be able to do it–whatever–it is–on our own. Our success (and failure) hinges entirely on our ability to grind and suffer in silence.
Except, that notion keeps us trapped. And tired. And turns us into procrastinators because, well, if you have to move an oak tree on your own, you’re not going to cut the damn thing down
