Walt and I just got back from guiding the first ever Special Olympian, up Mt. Rainier in Washington State.  Believe me. This was an incredible challenge.  We’re talking serious altitude, dangerous crevasses, steep slopes, and the need for technical skills. Hauling 70-pound packs, this was no walk in the park.  Or hike to Machu Picchu.

Before I show you the fun video we made, I’d like to remind you of the takeaway.  If Patrick can take on this kind of challenge, what’s stopping you?  Need to get in shape?  Well, do what Patrick did, join a gym.  Can’t do it alone?  Put your “rope team” together:  invest in a coach, find a therapist, make new friends, hire a guide.
